Inspired by the developmental gains they had seen in their children using Applied Behaviour Analysis in their home school program, five families joined together to form Janus Academy. These founding families wanted to give their children and others access to a unique and individualized education. Janus Academy Society was established in Calgary in 1997  as an accredited, independent, non profit school created to meet the unique educational needs of school-aged children with autism. The focus of Janus Academy has always been maximizing the potential of each student by enabling academic success and facilitating lifelong community integration.  We offer educational programming for children and youth 6 to 18 years of age with a Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
